Information Sent Directly
Queries Entered in Search Tools
A name, location, or other term entered into an embedded search tool is sent to the third-party provider that operates that tool. Bacon County Busted Mugshots does not store or log those search terms on its own servers.
Messages and Contact Requests
An email or message sent through a contact route is retained long enough to read and answer it. Those messages are not shared outside the operating organization unless a legal duty requires disclosure.
Technical Data Collected Automatically
Like most web services, the pages may receive routine technical details when a browser loads them:
- IP address or a related network identifier.
- Browser name and version.
- Device type and operating system.
- Pages viewed and the time spent on them.
- The referring page, when a browser supplies one.
- Access dates and timestamps.
Cookies and Similar Tools
Cookies may help measure how visitors use the pages or remember a setting. Browser controls can block or delete them. Some features may behave differently when cookies are disabled.
How Information Is Used
Collected information may be used to:
- Keep the service available, stable, and fast.
- Send a search request to the partner that supplies the selected tool.
- Understand which pages visitors find useful.
- Find errors, security problems, and technical faults.
- Display advertising that may be relevant to general interests.
Links Beyond These Pages
The reference pages link to the Bacon County Sheriff’s Office roster for Bacon County Jail, the Alma Police Department, the Georgia Department of Corrections, courts, federal locators, and outside search providers. Sheriff Andy Batten’s office and each outside provider control their own privacy practices. Once a visitor follows one of those links, the destination’s own privacy notice controls its handling of data.
Some advertising partners may track activity across more than one service to help deliver interest-based advertising. That tracking takes place on the partners’ systems, not under the direct control of Bacon County Busted Mugshots.
Who May Receive Data
Personal information is not sold by the service. It may nevertheless be received by the following parties when their role requires it:
- Search partners that process a query submitted through their tool.
- Analytics providers that measure page use and performance.
- Advertising networks that deliver or measure ads.
- Law-enforcement or government bodies that present a valid legal order.
Security Is Best Effort
Reasonable, standard safeguards are used for information under the service’s control. No internet-connected system is completely secure, so no promise can be made that a breach is impossible.
Visitors Under 18
The service is intended for adults and does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If a minor has sent information, a parent or guardian may use the Contact Us page to request its deletion.
Your Privacy Choices
Subject to applicable law and reasonable verification, a visitor may ask to:
- Receive a copy of personal information held by the service.
- Correct inaccurate information.
- Ask that information be deleted.
- Opt out of certain processing where an opt-out is available.
Requests can be sent through the Contact Us page. A request may not affect information held by an outside search, analytics, advertising, sheriff, court, or corrections provider.
